Quick Facts

7 on / 7 off preferred schedule — Mon through Sun
Mon – Fri onsite: 7 am – 7 pm; significant overnight shifts also
Sat & Sun: 24-hr coverage — arrive 6 am for rounding
8 – 10 inpatient patients per shift; 3 admissions per shift
Inpatient setting — ICU, stepdown rounding and new consults
Cardiothoracic surgery experience required — minimum 500 cases
EVH and endoscopic vein harvesting skills required
Call includes ER consults and transfers — approx. 1 night/week
