Description

A large progressive teaching hospital in Central California is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its Pain/Oncology Management service. This highly clinical role rotates between the inpatient pain consult service and inpatient oncology unit while collaborating closely with hospitalists, oncology, palliative care, and anesthesia teams. Responsibilities include pain regimen consultations, chemotherapy monitoring, oncology medication oversight, opioid stewardship, policy development, and multidisciplinary patient care initiatives within a progressive inpatient pharmacy environment.

Qualified candidates must possess a PharmD and be willing/able to obtain a California Pharmacist license prior to starting if a CA license is not already held at time of application. Completion of a PGY1 residency or at least 2 years of acute inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is required to include relevant rotations and/or experiences applicable to this role. PGY2 training in Pain/Palliative Care, Oncology, or related specialty areas is preferred. This position is ideal for someone who wishes to practice at the top of their license as a clinically engaged pharmacist enjoying direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching/precepting opportunities, and involvement in advanced clinical pharmacy services.

Located in California’s scenic Central Valley, this community offers affordable living, short commutes, access to national parks, and convenient travel to both Northern and Southern California destinations. The organization offers full benefits along with sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and potential loan repayment opportunities for qualified candidates.
